Bonobos and the Poorest Country in the World
Unlike other apes, Bonobos only live in the wild in one country, the Democratic Republic of Congo. Both the bonobos and the Democratic Republic of Congo need our help. Without this help, the Bonobo will go extinct and the people of The Congo will continue their suffering. We have to help the people in order to save the bonobo. The suffering of this country has a long history which began with its colonization and exploration by Sir Henry Morton Stanley and the evil King Leopold II of Belgium. The book "King Leopold's Ghost" by Adam Hochschild shows clearly the horrors that occurred during this time. The massacres, slavery, and kidnapping for the slave trade decimated this country. The atrocities occurring in this country continue to this day. It is time for the Congo to be emancipated from their history and for their suffering to end. The bonobo has always been my favorite ape, with their unusual social behaviors, such as forming bonds and resolving conflicts using sex with no gender preference and their unusual appearance and human-like ways. We can see ourselves in these apes and their plight reflects our own. A change must be made to save ourselves and to save the bonobo.

Puppy Party!
Pinky should get an award for the cutest puppy ever!
Nico should get one too for being the best momma ever...except she doesn't always watch where she sitting and if one squirms away she doesn't go get them. Pinky is the one always squirming away from the pack; I think she will be a very independant doggie. They are alot of work for me and for Nico and it will only get worse when they open their eyes. But I can't help saying eeeeeeeeeee everytime I look at Pinky's face. Never letting the puppy thing happen again though, way too much work, guilt, and worries (for them now and their life ahead). Lesson learned. But enjoy the pics!
There is something about the outside of a horse that is good for the inside of a man.

Opps, my circle just got wider!
When rescuing goes way wrong...
Proof that hell is paved with good intentions. Live and learn, live and learn. At least it's a really cute f*up! This is the last thing the world needed, four pit/ Amer. bulldog crosses. At least I have found three homes. The albino girl may be a challenge depending on if she is deaf or blind. Whatever, if I can't find one, she will stay with me. Here are some photos of the the birth and the newborns. Hopefully these cute pics will make you happy and remind everyone to spay and neuter. I'm sure most people reading this blog already have that handled. If you don't, letting your animals breed is a messy, scarey, and expensive ordeal. Go to a shelter to get an animal because there are plenty of dumbasses like me who let stuff like this happen (or actually my boyfriend, but I am responsible too and Nico's previous owner who abandoned her).
Why would you willingly let this happen to your dog. So painful. This is the albino puppy. It really scared me at this point.
Very yucky.
Had to think quickly and tie off one of the puppy's umbilical cord that was bleeding like crazy. Scarey!
