Cinci Freedom was an amazing cow who jumped a 6 ft fence to escape a slaughterhouse in Cincinnati, Ohio. She eluded capture for 11 days. Artist Peter Max was moved by her story and said "this little girl's will facing the end of her life, being so frightened, then taking the risk of all risks to live, to be free - touched me so deeply," Max said. "It was so inspiring. I knew I had to try to preserve that wonderful spirit." Peter donated $180,000 worth of artwork to benefit the Society for the Prevention of Cruelty of Animals and she lived out the rest of her life at a New York farm sanctuary.
