Just found this little girl running down the middle of Glendale Blvd
She was running full speed down a busy street. She was very close to getting hit. I chased her for blocks with Edgar till finally I cornered her in a parking lot. I took her to the vet and she doesn't have a microchip. Edgar is being very sweet with her but she is VERY scared. I made a little bed for her in the bathroom and have them separated so hopefully she will relax a bit. I've posted an ad on Craigslist. Hopefully someone will turn up for her.

Petey
This is Petey, he's a three legged American Staffordshire Terrier / Labrador Retriever Mix. I'm trying to find a good home for him but it seems impossible. I would take him myself but I don't have enough money as of right now, since he does only have three legs he needs to take medication for it (so that can be a bit pricey).
Here's Petey's story:
Petey is mid age, maybe 8 - 9 years old, weighing about 57 pounds. He was found as a stray with a badly injured and infected leg which had to be amputated. He gets around all right but would do best in a home without stairs - or at least very few. He is good around kids, cats and dogs and is very good in the house. He would do best with older kids as he is sometimes a little wobbly on his legs. He loves attention and loves exploring the yard, sun bathing and the occasional game of tag! He is a very relaxed boy but is also a good watch dog - alerting me to anyone coming to close to the yard. He is neutered and vaccinated with very good health except he is on thyroid medication - a pill twice daily.
