I'm not one to push people to spend their money, but this book is really amazing.
I've recently started to eat a vegan diet.
This book helped push me to do it. It made it really clear that eating a vegan diet is incredibly healthy, easy and delicious; not to mention kind to animals and the earth.
I feel amazing.

Nevaeh and Adajio
Nevaeh and Adajio
These 5-month-old colts are the product of an underground industry that essentially is puppymilling for horses: So thoroughbred mares can get right back on the track, their newborn foals are given to “nurse mares” whose displaced offspring are simply left to die or sent to slaughter. Rescue Ink helped equine advocate Amanda Sorvino of the Gray Dapple Thoroughbred Assistance Program rescue five of these unwanted weeks-old babies and place them in loving foster and forever homes.
Nevaeh (which is “heaven” spelled backwards) is a petite sorrel female, and Adajio is a palamino male. They have been raised by Pennsylvania-based rescuer Marlene Boyd, who they follow around like she is their mother. Now that the foals are weaned and getting independent, Marlene plans to train them for riding, and would love to see them in family homes. Contact her at 717-867-1543. Via Rescue Ink

Mickey Rourke
"There isn't much worse than being a 'has been,' being used to sitting at the best table in the fanciest restaurant just by showing up, and then reaching a point where the restaurant won't even take my call. It was a humbling experience for me, and the dogs were the biggest help in getting me through because I could see that the dogs from the pound are like me. Bad things have happened to them, too, and they bear the scars." Mickey Rourke from
Ingrid Newkirk's book, 'One Can Make a Difference: How Simple Actions Can Change the World.'

Missing Cat
This is a very selfish reason to post on here and i know this is a long shot but I'm beside myself with anxiety and grasping at straws. I know many of the people who read this blog live in Los Angeles, my little cat, King Tut who has been featured on the blog a couple times has been missing for two days. I live in Highland Park. He is micro-chipped and has a red collar with his name and my phone number on it. If you live in any of the surrounding areas or know someone who does, please keep an eye out. There is a reward.
And even if you are far away, please think a positive thought for his safe return home, thank you,
Nikki

motorcycle seat
I'm posting this to show off my sweet scooter, but also to show you my new seat. Mustang Seats are the number 1 after market Harley seat and none of them are made out of real leather (they use vinyl made to look like leather). Me, the hog, and the cows are all happy.
